November 2012
This month's Featured Truck comes to us from Tyrell and his wife. They had the truck out of high school, and decided to tear it down to the frame and start the process of a full restoration. They started the build 8 years ago when Tyrell got into the oilfield and started making more money. The truck was tore down to the frame and started up. All of the tubular suspension came from CPP along with the 4 wheel Wilwood disc breaks. The wheels are 18" Foose with 235/55 General G-Max Tires. The motor was done by Ross Automotive Machine out of Lapeer MI. Its got a BB 496 that's been dyno to 635 horse power and 653 pounds of torque. The first transmission came from Extreme transmissions out of California that didnt last too long, and the second is from B&M with a B&M 2400 Nitrous Holeshot Stall. All of the body work was done locally from a guy named Terell Trumble that's been doing the work for 30+ years. There are too many small parts to list like the electric life power windows, electric life remote doors with LCD alarm, billet specialties and LMC. They are planning to keep the truck in the family forever and pass it down from generation to generation. Tyrell and his wife put a lot of hard work into this piece of art, and are hoping to get her into some car shows for the first time in 2013. It looks like a completely different truck from when they started, and is gorgeous from the top down. The quality and effort that took place in this build really shows. Thank you for the submission and telling the world about this beautiful truck.

September 2012
Our featured Chevy for September is a spectacular 1968 C10 comes to us from Scott. This Chevrolet truck was Scott's grandfathers that he restored over the past year. The C10 has the original, restored inline 6 cylinder 250 engine, and disc brakes and power steering were added. The front is lowered 2 inches and the back is lowered 4 inches. This Chevy is such a work of art that Scott's local Chevrolet dealer asked him if they could display his truck in the showroom for a few weeks. We are extremely proud to have the opportunity to share this wonderful story to the world, it really proves that classic Chevy's will bring people together for generations to come.
"My great grandpa purchased that truck from the dealer. I don't really remember him having it as he passed when I was about 3. My grandpa was the only son and he inherited the truck. That is the item that I most associate with my grandpa. We took the truck fishing, hunting and to the beach. Thats the first vehicle I ever drove - I would go to the landfill with my grandpa and when I was about 10 he started letting me drive in/out of the landfill on the dirt roads, once he even told me to drive on out the gate down the highway. Pretty scary for a 10 year old when the truck has a 3 on the tree. He gave the truck to me when I was about 16 as he could no longer handle the large steering wheel without power steering. I drove it a little in high school and then didn't have anywhere to keep it during my college years. My dad drove it some, but eventually just left it in the side yard to deteriorate. About 4 years ago, I had someone tow it to my house from my parents (about a 2 hour ride). It sat there for another 2 years with my wife constantly complaining for me to get rid of that junk (we've all heard that I'm sure). She didn't understand what it could be and didn't understand how it kept me connected to my grandpa who passed in 2003. It was a 2 year project that my son and I did with the help of a great local mechanic and body shop. We call the truck F.A. - that was what everyone called my grandpa (by his initials). I had a year specific tag made from 1968 - it's FA 1023 ( my grandpas name and birthday - Oct 1923)." - Scott
